Beacon Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

In 2014, the American Cancer Foundation estimates that there will be 40,000 deaths from breast cancer, the second most common cause of death in women. The Beacon is joining with the Susan G. Komen foundation to change these statistics, and we need your help.

What Happens to Donations

Susan G. Komen’s goal is to fight breast cancer and save lives. In the past five years, the foundation has raised money for community-based health programs, breast cancer research and education and advocacy programs. 80 cents of every dollar spent by Susan G. Komen goes directly towards these programs. Susan G. Komen also offers support to those with breast cancer through help lines, message boards, interactive tools and more.
