It’s no secret that the Beacon Hotel and its staff are huge fans of connecting with people online. We love hearing about your amazing South Beach celebration trips and how we played a part in the memories you forged here. It also seems you’re just as enthusiastic about us considering the fact that we’ve reached an amazing 100,000 fans on Facebook alone!
First and foremost, we want to say thank you. Few words can describe how happy we are to have made a difference for this many people, and we’re certainly not stopping here. We plan on growing our South Beach hotel even more in the future, and we’d like to bring you along for the ride.
This is a momentous milestone for our business. We couldn’t have gotten here without the support of the diverse communities we serve in Miami and beyond. Of course, we also wouldn’t have realized all the great things we’ve achieved along the way. Here are just a few of the stops we’ve made in our journey thus far and some of our plans for the future.
The Charities We Love
Future generations may never know that some of the trees they seek shelter beneath were planted by our staff. They might also remain blissfully unaware that our fundraisers helped sustain some of the programs their communities benefit from. That’s fine. We take as much pride in the fact that our unpublicized efforts will do good as we do in being popular on social media.
Building Spaces With Habitat for Humanity
Not everyone can partake of hotel hospitality as often as they’d like. There are even those less fortunate who never get the chance to enjoy the creature comforts most of us take for granted. Since 2005, we’ve remained committed to helping Habitat for Humanity build safe spaces for these underprivileged individuals right in nearby Homestead.
Supporting the Homeless and Needy Through Miami Rescue Mission
Miami Rescue Mission performs a range of invaluable services for those who lack basic essentials. In addition to providing meals, shelter, employment assistance, educational resources and advocacy for the homeless, they assist women and children who want to escape abusive living conditions. We’re proud to have donated 57 HD television sets to help this noble organization in its ongoing fight.
Sponsoring Children in World Vision
Miami Beach isn’t the only community suffering from poverty and other social ills. World Vision’s mission extends to around 90 countries and attempts to address the underlying causes of poverty, displacement and other vulnerabilities. By sponsoring many children and families that receive aid from this charity, we hope to contribute to their brighter futures.
Where Will South Beach’s Beacon Hotel Go From Here?
We’ve got a positive outlook for what we might encounter in the days and years to come. Our team hopes to continue our use of digital engagement and traditional marketing to not only promote our own brand, but also help our charitable missions touch more lives worldwide.
As our next goal, we’re aiming for a quarter of a million likes on Facebook. In over 75 years of business, we’ve seen plenty of trends come and go, but we think social media is here to stay and that its potential is a force worth reckoning with.
We believe we can be more than just a Miami Beach hotel. With your help, we can become a positive force for change that spreads far further than Ocean Drive or South Beach. We’re looking forward to the future, and we’re infinitely thankful to have your support from here on out.
